Tajikistan and Eurasian Development Bank discussed modernisation of Nurek HPP valued at $40 million.
The modernisation process was discussed during the meeting taking place in Dushanbe by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Negmatullo Khikmatullzoda and the representative of EDB Rashid Kadyrov.
The media informs that the partnership of Tajikistan and Eurasian Development Bank has come to a brand-new level.
The Eurasian Development Bank channels fund to support the development of a series of economic projects of Tajikistan.
It is also worth to recall that the Eurasian Stabilisation and Development Fund which cooperates with Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Russia, has channelled $42 million to Tajikistan. $40 million will be allocated to modernise Nurek HPP phase 1, and the remaining $2 million will bolster Karavan Zdorovia project.
